Which strategy should I run?

Common mistakes5 to avoid
  • Pushing map tiers before defenses are ready

Endgame is a survival check, not just a DPS check — gear resistances and life before chasing higher Waystone tiers.

  • Not swapping Masters per activity

Running empty maps without the right Master (Jado/Doryani/Hilda) for the activity wastes monster-scaling and reward nodes.

  • Burning good tablets before towers/Atlas are ready

Mixing tablet types across mechanics in one session, or spending high-roll tablets before your setup can use them, wastes their value.

  • Over-stacking rarity at the cost of damage/defense

Also applies to over-Runeforging high item-level gear — on ilvl 56+ gear, Runic Ward conversion is a trade against your existing defenses, not a pure freebie.

  • Corrupting your last good T15

Only corrupt surplus Waystones — Vaal Orb corruption has under a 5% success chance to reach T16 and can downgrade to T14.

  1. SExpeditionInvest lowRisk highLeague start · Late game
    Expedition

Return: Pre-0.5.5 guide: ~10-20 Div/hr disciplined, '50/hr' as an optimized ceiling. Fubgun shows single 25-Div maps; web digests claim 100+ Div/hr (unverified).

Atlas setup: Fubgun's #1 farm in 0.5.5 — "by far the best farm", even without Aldur's Saga, but hard: your build must handle high-juice Expeditions, and it takes practice to learn. City maps + Expedition tablets; 200% Delirium on top is the digest-reported ceiling. 0.5.4 Expedition Atlas tree ('Feeling Lucky?' for Liquid Verisium), Grand Expeditions, Jado pairing. Since 0.5.5 Expedition is core in every league: Expedition Tablets (1-4 per map, each adding Expeditions, Verisium Remnants or density) drop in Standard and Forbidden Rites but not in Runes of Aldur. Aldur's Saga stays Runes of Aldur-only, though its modifiers can roll on Grand Expeditions elsewhere.

  2. SOmen Abyss — Omen of Light (Amanamu)Invest lowRisk lowLeague start · Late game
    Abyss

Return: 1–2 Omens of Light per juiced map (price-dependent); Heart-of-the-Well jewels can be huge.

Atlas setup: Abyss sub-tree (Shadow of Undeath, Lightless Legions), Rogue Exile nodes for Abyss jewels, Monster Effectiveness focus. Fubgun prefers a Hilda Master setup (cheaper tablets). Always full-clear Abyssal Depths — buffed mid-0.5, they drop lots of echoes and often a Light. Do NOT take Survival of the Fittest (merges rares; one Omen per rare). Avoid the Desert biome.

  3. SBreach Hiveblood (Genesis Tree)Invest mediumRisk mediumLeague start · Late game
    Breach

Return: Pre-0.5.5 guide: ~16-35 Div/hr; Fracturing Orbs bonus. Consistent.

Atlas setup: Pack-size Atlas focus. Breach sub-tree (Lavish Wombgifts, catalysts/rings), 3-4 Breach tablets (Hive Blood), Doryani or Jado. Works on non-city maps (no city hunting), better in cities. Needs strong clear speed; crafting knowledge raises the ceiling.

  4. SDelirium / Lineage rushInvest mediumRisk highLeague start · Late game
    Delirium

Return: High-value boss loot plus Simulacra and expensive Lineage gems; Fubgun's pick as a starter for strong builds.

Atlas setup: 3× Delirium tablets while hunting cities, anomaly maps and Matriarch/Patriarch Halls. High Waystone-drop, max-mod (zero-portal) maps on the bosses for 2–3 fragments back. Grand Mirrors spread fog → free Simulacra. Pairs with Jado and the Lineage Support nodes.

  5. ABreach raresInvest mediumRisk mediumLeague start · Late game
    Breach

Return: Was S tier in 0.5; one tier lower after the nerf.

Atlas setup: Monster-effectiveness + rarity Atlas focus, Breach tablets with extra-rare mods. Nerfed in 0.5.5: the tablet's extra rares went from 3 to 2, and Unstable Breaches spawn their rares in waves of 5.

  6. ARitual (City)Invest lowRisk mediumLeague start · Late game
    Ritual

Return: Highest jackpot potential (Mageblood/Headhunter), lower Div/hr floor. Web digests: ~60 Div/hr (unverified).

Atlas setup: Pack-size (more favour) + rarity Atlas focus, Summoning Circle nodes, Ritual sub-tree, Tribute deferral to fish Omens/chase uniques. Ritual is the league mechanic and spawns in every map, so Omens are cheap — value swings with Omen prices.

  7. BCurrency Abyss / Hardwell (Ulaman)Invest lowRisk lowLeague start
    Abyss

Return: Good day-one starter that doesn't scale. The Hardwell seems noticeably rarer in 0.5.5.

Atlas setup: Rarity Atlas focus (Ulaman currency). One-mod tablets are fine — no real tablet investment. Fubgun runs it on day one every league.

  8. –Breach + 200% DeliriumInvest highRisk highLate game
    BreachDelirium

Return: Highest ceiling: 10-12 Div maps reported.

Atlas setup: Stack Breach density with Grand Mirror 200% Delirium, Jado double-tablet.

  9. –Abyss + Delirium + Ritual (0.5.4)Invest highRisk highLate game
    AbyssDeliriumRitual

Return: Community reports up to ~150 Div/hr.

Atlas setup: Full Atlas tree, 200% Delirium, +2 rare Abyss tablets.

  10. –Vaal Temple → AtziriInvest lowRisk lowLeague start · Late game

Return: Elite effort-adjusted; Orb of Sacrifice + Vaal currency for near-zero investment.

Atlas setup: Zero tablet/tower setup; pop the temple every few maps.

  11. –Boss Rush / Tablet RushInvest lowRisk lowLeague start · Late game

Return: Consistent, RNG-light — best beginner entry.

    Atlas setup: Fragments/tablets, any build.

  12. –Forbidden Rites campaign Ritual + Sacred BloomsInvest lowRisk mediumLeague start · Late game
    Ritual

Return: Not yet measured — no post-launch return figures in the source material.

Atlas setup: Forbidden Rites league only. Every campaign area has a levelling-focused Ritual; twice per Act (once per Interlude) a cluster of boss Ritual Effigies chains each defeated boss into the next area's waves, ending in a Tribute spend on Uniques. In maps, Sacred Blooms from Ritual rewards add the Viridian Wildwood to a map cluster — collect Wisp trails, and monsters in that map area become stronger and more rewarding.

  13. –Trial of Chaos (Soul Cores)Invest lowRisk mediumLate game

Return: Not yet measured — no post-0.5.5 return figures in the source material.

Atlas setup: Since 0.5.5: a run can be left and resumed from the same room, each room ends in a reward chest, and completion rewards are only Currency and Soul Cores (no Corrupted items). A 10-trial Inscribed Ultimatum can be continued twice without a new Ultimatum, each successful continuation awarding a different Trialmaster Fragment, with an optional double-or-nothing Currency wager. Area-level bonuses stand in for Atlas passives, which don't apply inside.

Return: Weak as a main strategy; only reliable Talisman source.

Atlas setup: On the Wind keystone.
